In response to the request below, the moderator has called for a special meeting of presbytery, to be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Bethel OPC in Wheaton, IL, to deal with the matters specified in the request.

Greetings, we, the undersigned, are writing to request that a special meeting of the Presbytery of the Midwest be called for the purpose of acting on Rev. Megchelsen’s request to dissolve his pastoral relationship with Grace OPC in Elburn, IL in order to accept a call from New Life PCA, La Mesa, CA and matters germane. We would propose the meeting be held at Bethel OPC, Wheaton, IL on Wednesday August 12 at 11:30 a.m., as it would coincide with a scheduled meeting of the C&C committee at that location.
