October 5, 2019.

Women’s Presbyterial will be held this year at Bethel OPC in Oostburg, WI from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Our speaker, Liz Tolsma, will be speaking on “A Courageous Faith.”

Liz Tolsma, is a long-time member of Falls OPC where her father, Neil Tolsma, last served as pastor until his retirement. Liz is an author who has penned several WWII novels, several prairie romance novellas, an Amish novel, and her first romantic suspense. She is a popular speaker on a wide range of topics including writing, courage, faith, preserving our family histories, adoption, and marriage. Liz is married to her high school sweetheart and is settled next to a farm field in Wisconsin. The Lord has blessed them with three children through international adoptions from Vietnam, Korea and the Philippines. Her son is now in the U.S. Marines, her oldest daughter is studying international studies and her youngest daughter, who has multiple disabilities, is a source of much laughter and joy in their home. When not in front of her computer, Liz enjoys walking her hyperactive Jack Russell terrier mix, reading, cooking, working in her large perennial garden, kayaking, camping, and traveling with her family. She is also a breast cancer survivor. She writes, “It has been a journey of deep faith and trust in the Lord, but he has sustained me and granted me healing. The greatest love in my life is my Lord Jesus. I pray that my writing, as well as my entire life, will be to his honor and glory alone.”
